Adjusted Boarding Daycare FAQS

Why doesn’t my dog get daycare all day anymore?/ Why did you change daycare with boarding?

We’ve updated our boarding structure so eligible dogs now enjoy structured play sessions each day instead of remaining in daycare all day. We believe this provides a better balance for most dogs, allowing time for both play and rest throughout the day. It also helps us keep play groups smaller, calmer, and safer. As we’ve grown, having all dogs in daycare at the same time creates very large mid-day groups, so this change allows us to provide a more controlled and enriching experience for every dog.

Can my dog still do full-day daycare?

Absolutely. We still offer full-day daycare during boarding as an upgrade. A lot of our high-energy dogs do that, and we’re happy to add it to your stay.

Can I alternate days of full-day daycare?

Yes, you can alternate full-day daycare days or choose whichever boarding days you’d like your pup to attend full-day daycare. However, we do not offer all-day daycare Sundays.

Can I use my daycare packages for full-day daycare during my dog's boarding stay?

Daycare packages can't be applied to boarding stays. However, because all-day daycare during boarding is only $12 per day, it's actually less expensive than using a daycare package.

Can I add all-day daycare to the day I drop off?

Absolutely! We just recommend dropping your dog(s) off before 9:00 AM if you’d like all-day daycare on check-in day, so they can enjoy the full day of play!

Can I add all-day daycare on the day I pick up?

Yes, except Sundays. We just recommend picking your dog(s) up after 3:00 PM if you’d like all-day daycare on pick-up day, so they can enjoy the full day of play!

Can I pick which playgroup my dog goes into?

No, playgroups are determined based on temperament, play style, and group compatibility, taking into account the number of boarding dogs and their individual temperaments.

Is my dog going to be in a room all day without potty beaks?

No, your dog will still go outside for group potty breaks every 2-4 hours.

What if my dog gets a 1 or 2 hour midday nap?

If your dog already has limited daycare time due to behavior, age, or mobility issues, we may not necessarily recommend the all-day daycare add-on. However, every dog is different, and we’re happy to discuss the best option based on your dog’s individual needs and activity level.

What if I already scheduled my boarding before this change takes place? / What if my boarding stay overlaps the date this change takes effect?”

These changes will apply to all boarding stays beginning June 22nd, including reservations booked before this date. If any portion of your dog’s stay occurs on or after this date, the updated boarding routine will apply. Because this update changes our daily boarding routine, group structure, and staffing, it will apply to all boarding stays beginning June 22nd, regardless of when the reservation was made. Keeping one consistent structure allows us to provide a calmer, safer, and more balanced experience for all dogs in our care.

Why don't you simply limit the number of dogs in daycare to keep the groups smaller?

One of the things our clients have always appreciated about Pups Paradise is the flexibility and convenience of our daycare program. Daycare dogs arrive throughout the day based on their owners’ schedules, often with little or no advance notice. Implementing strict daycare limits would require us to either turn dogs away when capacity is reached or require reservations in advance. Both options would significantly reduce the flexibility that many of our clients rely on.

If my dog is receiving less daycare than before, why aren't boarding prices being reduced?

Our boarding rate is based on the overall care and supervision provided during your dog's stay, not solely on the amount of daycare they receive. Throughout the years, some boarding dogs have participated in daycare all day, some have participated only occasionally, and others have not participated at all due to age, health, temperament, or owner preference. Regardless of daycare participation, all boarding guests have always paid the same boarding rate. This change does not affect the level of care, supervision, potty breaks, attention, or overall boarding experience your dog receives. Instead, it changes how group play is structured during their stay.
